Every after-hours call you miss is a $5,000 job your competitor just booked
A flooded basement at 11pm does not leave a voicemail. It calls the next company on Google. Diane answers it instead.
What one missed call is worth
$5,618
the average water-damage job. Roughly 7 of every 10 restoration calls become a job — but only if someone answers.

It is 11pm. A supply line let go and the water is climbing the drywall. The homeowner Googles “water damage” and your city, and starts dialling. You are asleep, on another loss, or with your family. The phone rings out.
Most callers do not leave a voicemail. They call the next number. Speed decides it: the contractor who answers first usually wins the job, and the odds drop with every minute the phone rings out. Miss the call and a $5,000 job becomes someone else's by morning. Miss one mitigation call a week, at a $3,500 average ticket, and that is roughly $168,000 a year walking out the door.
A national answering service reads a generic script. It does not know your service area, your after-hours rate, or a true emergency from a quote-shopper.
Diane is a third option. Configured for your company specifically. On your line 24/7. $199 a month.
How Diane works
Discovery call
15 minutes. I learn your service area, your after-hours rate, your emergency criteria, and which calls go straight to your cell. No sales pitch — if it does not fit, I will say so.
Configuration
I build Diane to your company — loss types, escalation rules, the calls she handles versus the ones she dispatches. You hear her on Day 3 and tell me what to change.
Go-live
She answers the calls you cannot. Captures the loss, books the assessment, texts your on-call tech for true emergencies, and sends a 7am summary of every call overnight.
What you get
Diane becomes a real expert on your business
Most AI answering services hand you a generic bot and a login. HeyDiane is different. You work one-on-one with me, the founder, to build a knowledge graph of your business — a structured map of how you actually run — and Diane answers every call from it. That's why she sounds like someone who has worked your front desk for years, not a robot reading a script.
What Diane learns about your business
- Your real prices and after-hours fees — she quotes them exactly
- Your service area and the towns you actually cover
- The brands and systems you install and service
- Your emergency protocol — what's urgent, what waits until morning
- Which calls go straight to your cell, and which she handles herself
- Your calendar and availability — she books real jobs into it
Everything Diane does
One receptionist. Every call. Configured for your business.
She answers.
Every call, 24/7. No busy signal, no voicemail, no phone tree. She sounds like a real receptionist, not a robot.
She captures the loss.
Name, callback number, service address, the type of loss, the cause, and whether it is insured — read back and confirmed before the call ends.
She triages.
Knows an active flood from a slow leak from a price-shopper. Quotes your real after-hours rate and never quotes a number she should not.
She dispatches.
True emergencies go straight to your on-call tech by text, with the address and loss details, while the caller is still on the line.
She books.
Links your calendar, finds your open slots, schedules the assessment, and fires an instant text and email confirmation.
She reports.
A 7am summary every morning — every call from the day and night before, one line each. Nothing slips through.

Common questions
See all →How is this different from a national answering service?
An answering service takes a message from a generic script. It does not know your service area, your after-hours rate, or which calls are real emergencies. Diane is configured for your company specifically — she dispatches the emergency, books the assessment, and quotes the right number.
What happens with a true emergency at 2am?
Diane recognises an active loss, captures the address and details, and texts your on-call tech immediately while the caller is still on the line. Routine calls and quote-shoppers are booked or handled without waking anyone.
Will my customers know it is AI?
Some will, most will not unless they are listening for it. We disclose AI on request and never claim Diane is human. The real comparison is not Diane versus a person — it is Diane versus voicemail.
Is there a contract?
No. Month-to-month, cancel any time with one click, no penalty and no retention call. You keep every call recording. Diane earns her place each month or you stop, and if she needs tuning in the first weeks, that's on me.
Is there a setup fee?
There's no setup fee — $0. You start with a 7-day free trial on your real number, no credit card. After that, plans start at $199/month (Shop), which covers the phone number, the AI infrastructure, the configuration work (service-area mapping, after-hours pricing, emergency criteria, escalation logic, calendar integration, and QA), and ongoing tuning. Crew ($399) and Fleet ($599) add FSM integration, multi-tech routing, and multi-location support — see all plans on the pricing page.
Canadian-built, Canadian-billed
The AI receptionist built in Canada, for Canadian trades
Most AI receptionists and answering services are US tools billed in US dollars with no local team. Diane is the Alberta alternative.
An Alberta company
HeyDiane is built and run by The Human Frequency Inc. in Sherwood Park, Alberta. The US receptionist apps don't have a local team. You reach the person who built Diane, not an offshore queue.
Priced in Canadian dollars
$0 setup, 7-day free trial, then from $199/mo CAD. No US-dollar conversion, no exchange-rate surprises on the invoice.
Privacy handled for Canada
Diane discloses recording at the start of every call, which meets Alberta's single-party consent and the CRTC's business-call rules. Call data is handled with PIPEDA in mind, and every subprocessor is listed in our Privacy Policy.
Built for Alberta calls
Configured for how calls come in here — the −30 °C no-heat nights, the chinook pipe bursts, your service area and after-hours rates. Not a generic US script.
